The Cullinan is a high rise residential building managed by MTR property management team. The residential estate is the award winner of Hanson Outstanding Award (Residential Building / Housing Estate).
Under the framework of 4Ts charter, the Cullinan has set a target on energy saving each year and is going to adopt various measures to meet the target such as installing variable speed driver for Fresh air unit in clubhouse and applying building management system (BMS) to control the lighting in platform. The estate has also invited CLP to conduct energy audit and followed their recommendations including the replacement of light tubes by LED in clubhouse and the installation of variable-frequency drive in water pump which successfully reduce the electricity consumption significantly.
The Cullinan considers innovation a critical factor in conserving energy and protecting environment. It has developed a timer for controlling the air-conditioning systems at each typical floors individually to save energy consumption at non-peak hours. The timer can also help saving the manpower to set temperature of each floor by client's request. Automatic switch off devices are installed at refuse rooms to reduce unnecessary lighting when the rooms are not in use. These self-developed energy saving technologies and measures were promoted to and adopted by the other residential development managed by MTR property management team.
