The Altitude, which is a single block residential building sitting in the exclusive mid levels of Happy Valley, is the winner of Hanson Grand Award (Residential Building/ Housing Estate) due to its outstanding performance in promoting energy and environmental conservation to residents.
The property management team aims to raise residents' awareness on energy saving by introducing the Green Home Tips Programme in which practical tips on resources saving are provided to the residents. Home visits are carried out to evaluate household energy consumption and make relevant recommendations on energy saving. The programme has been promoted in other residential buildings of the managed portfolio. The residents are also encouraged to provide innovative ideas on practicing green living.
For years, the estate has already implemented a wide range of energy saving measures which limit the rooms for further improvement. Nevertheless, the management team endeavored to achieve the goal set up under the framework of 4Ts charter by adopting the following measures: Increase the room air-conditioner temperature in consideration of thermal comfort and electricity consumption; Adjust the operation hours of public facilities and office equipment to reduce unnecessary energy consumption; Replace T5 tube by LED; Remove part of the decorative lights.
The Altitude actively participated in several energy saving competitions and campaigns, including "No Air Con Night" and "Charter on External Lighting" which show its support and determination in energy saving.
