Lingnan University has employed various energy saving measures in the campus under the 4Ts Charter Scheme. For the lighting system, LED lamps and lighting sensors are installed at public area to increase the energy efficiency and conservation. Besides, external lighting in different environmental settings are designed to turn on according to the brightness of sunlight to reduce unnecessary energy consumption. The management team has also replaced the existing aged installation with new chillers for a higher COP.
Innovative ideas have been implemented in various campus environmental conservation programmes. Various programmes are actively organized to promote the awareness of staff and students on energy-saving. The activities have effectively engaged diverse stakeholders of the campus.
