Landmark North is the winner of Hanson Outstanding Award (Office / Commercial / Industrial Building). The office complex building is managed by a reliable management team who has put enormous effort in conserving energy and promoting sustainability and green living to the community.
To cope with the challenge of high electricity consumption due to increasing occupancy rate and visitor flow rate of the building, the team carried out lightings and chiller retrofits to increase energy efficiency. The lightings retrofits covers the installation of wireless motion sensors to LED lighting at common area. Meanwhile power preference optimizers were installed for chilled water pump and air-cooled chiller was replaced by water-cooled chiller. Landmark North also implements renewable energy technologies such as using DIY movable battery and charging stations with two solar panels to provide power supply for reaching out activities. Vertical wind turbine and Photo-voltaic LED lamp post has been installed as a model for educational purposes.
To enhance public's awareness of conserving energy, Climate Change and Interactive Innovation Centre has been established to provide an opportunity for the community to obtain environmental protection education such as renewable energy and emission reduction. Moreover, Environment Restoration Park which is characterized by providing 100% renewable power for the operation of the park and zero carbon emission has also been established to promote message of environmental protection.
