i-education is an education centre adopting green mindset in business operation, pursuing environmental friendliness is one of their business target. Within the group of Shop / Restaurant / Supermarket, i-education is the award winner of Hanson Grand Award.
The centre has dedicated to promote green concept via different activities and routine practices. iSTEM has been formed to lead the implementation of energy saving policy in collaboration with teachers, students and parents. Various measures have been adopted such as keeping the air-conditioning temperature at 24-26°C while shortening the operation time of air conditioners and lighting system. LED lighting with high energy efficacy has been installed for better energy performance. Solar fans are adopted to lower room temperature and reduce part of the electricity load.
The education centre has proactively participated in different green campaigns including Energy Saving Charter 2017 and Charter on External Lighting to show its passion for energy saving. It has also been recognized as Hong Kong Green Organisation for its outstanding achievement in green management.
i-education has spent continual efforts on educating the community persistently. It always encourages teachers and students to attend green training workshops meanwhile publishing newsletters to promote their green activities to the public.
