HK Pacific Centre is an established office complex accommodates mainly medical and beauty business units which managed to win Hanson Outstanding Award (Office/Commercial/Industrial Building), due to a series of updating plan and target mission on energy conservation. The awarded team has pledged to commit the target in the following years and are proactive to confront the challenges on building energy efficiency enhancement.
The complexed plan involves retrofitting of both software and hardware, such as the retrofit of air side system, BMS system, lifting system and lighting system, which promoted a comprehensive energy saving effect. Under the 4Ts charter, management team has replaced T5 fluorescent light source with LED, which are low-budget and can be easily modelled by other business building. Moreover, the project team has paid their attentions to the air conditioning system, they have promoted energy saving concept to occupiers and proactively acquired indoor air data of occupied unit to reference primary air supply control. Chillers have been replaced with better performance and energy-saving.
To enhance the transparency on tracking energy saving results, "i-Promise" has been launched where the staffs can access to monitor and review the energy consumption of the building. The management team has also planned to integrate the lighting system and lifting system into iBMS system to further monitor energy performance and enhance energy efficiency. Their efforts on continuous improvement in energy management within years were appreciated and was a role model to all commercial building.
