Energy Saving Charter on "No ILB"

* ILB stands for Incandescent Light Bulbs

Participating suppliers and retailers for the Charter would pledge to stop replenishing stock of targeted ILB, and to stop selling the targeted ILB by the end of 2013.

Participating trade associations will strongly support the Charter and will be committed to promote greener lighting for conserving energy.

Participating users will refrain from procuring targeted ILB for general lighting purposes and adopt more energy-efficient lighting.

Note:

Targeted ILB includes non-reflector type ILB of 25 watt (W) or above, which operates at a single phase electricity supply of nominal voltage of 220 volts (V) including General Lighting Service lamps, candle shape, fancy round and other decorative lamps, but excluding tungsten halogen lamps.
