The aim of this design is to install semiconductor thermoelectric power generating modules at places with high temperature differences due to heat exhaust, and with a suitable series and parallel circuit, to reduce the impact of heat exhaust wastage to the environment.
For example, installing semiconductor thermoelectric power generating modules in the vents of AC units (with a temperature difference of 60-80℃) allows conversion of heat energy from the AC units’ heat exhaust into electrical energy. As well as an increased energy efficiency, it can also reduce the surrounding temperature increase from waste heat, and indirectly reduce the energy consumption of AC units.
For education, our team produced a video to educate our students on how to treat food waste properly during lunchtime. Our system fulfills the goal of sustainable development, being powered by renewable solar energy and using a self-sustaining circular economy to use the black soldier flies for animal feed, chitosan source, fertilizer, etc.
We hope that this design can see use in different places with high temperature difference. (such as area near solar panels, water dispensers, etc.) This electricity generation method has higher efficiency and eco-friendliness, and reduces waste of energy from wasted heat energy from heat exhaust.
