Make Old People Cooler

The goal of our design is to save the energy used for air-conditioning and cooling. By using different materials with different heat capacities, we can reduce the indoor temperature, allowing heat to become absorbed by the surrounding moisture and evaporated, drifting the heat out of the building without external devices. Our design utilizes materials that are heat insulators that prevent external heat from entering the building, and by spraying water into materials with low heat capacity such as sand and soil, the water evaporates and carries the internal heat out. We have done several experiments using a self spraying device to ensure that the marterial is self sustainable and that the concept is valid, and can help citizens save energy spent on cooling devices.

Figure 2 This is the model of our design, which we will use sand to cover the whole building. We will also use metal as the wall of the building and bricks as the outermost layout.
