International Commerce Centre is the award winner of Hanson Grand Award (Office Building). The building operates non‐stop 24‐7 throughout the year and is a prestigious and is fully facilitated premium grade office building which accommodates various international banking and finance corporates. With enormous efforts expedited by the building management team, the building has recorded continuous energy conservation performance in recent years.
With the solid commitment from top management, energy conservation achievement has become one of the key building performance index. Increasing amount of resources and responsibilities have been assigned to the building management team for further enhancing environmental performance. ICC's team has employed various energy saving measures in the building, T5 and LED lighting are installed at public area, room temperature at lift lobbies are maintained at 25.5°C, Central chillers are operates at optimized schedules that responds to real time building cooling load demands at different building zones.
There have been soft‐approaches developed by the team that help optimizing energy performance. More than 40 numbers of "Energy Mayors" who are teamed up by the management for monitoring the energy use and saving opportunities in daily operation. Furthermore, corporate tenants are encouraged to be role models of green business leaders for impacting the community.
The building is operated and up‐kept by sophisticated intelligent building management system in associated with the ISO50001 quality management system. More out‐of‐box approaches are being explored and the team is studying new conservation solutions with the supports of research professionals.
