Aria is the award winner of Hanson Grand Award (Residential Building / Housing Estate). The estate, located at central Kowloon, has five residential blocks erected on a podium complex where 723 residential flats are accommodated. The estate is operated and managed by a brimming building management team presenting solid commitment to environmental protection.
The estate has been recognized for its quality energy management practices by the persistent award of ISO50001 certification in consecutive years. The combination of efforts expedited by the senior management and the operation team members have made the overall energy performance of the estate significantly improved in recent years.
A dedicated Energy Management Team has been established for monitoring and managing the energy consumption of the estate. Major energy consuming installation are monitored by energy meters. Nonessential electrical equipment for public area are turned off. The estate has adopted LED lighting for common areas. De‐lamping programme has also been carried out in lift lobbies. The lighting energy retrofit has reduced significant amount of energy use in less frequently occupied location while lowering space air temperature to more comfortable level.
The team considers promotion of environmental protection a critical factor for constructing the value of conservation in every resident's mindset. They have developed creative ideas of educational activities for residential members to participate. Also they have provided household Energy Audit Programme for residents so that energy saving opportunities and relevant measures could be executed effectively. Aria's team has proved themselves successful being the first mover as energy saving role model for the residents.
